People who suffer from fatigue, muscle aches, food sensitivities, psoriasis, asthma and many other common complaints may actually have a yeast infection. Too much yeast (specifically, “Candida Albicans”) in the body is a problem that applies equally to both men and women. Candida Albican, a common yeast, normally lives in the human body where it causes no problems-provided the body’s biochemistry is balanced and the immune system is strong. Dr. Don Colbert shares his insight on yeast infections and suggests cures to prevent them from weakening the immune system.

Vaginal yeast and vaginal herpes share similar symptoms. Vaginal yeast is very commonplace among women. In fact three / 4 of women have one vaginal yeast episode in their lives and half them have a couple of episodes. Vaginal herpes or genital herpes is less common but speedily spreading.
About 25% of all pregnant women have genital herpes and twenty percent of the population has genital herpes. I suspect these figures are underestimated. Girls are much more likely to get genital herpes than men and genital herpes contamination in the USA increased by thirty percent from the late 70′s to the early 90′s and increases on a day-to-day basis.
Vaginal yeast is caused by fungi called Candida albicans. They’re tiny organisms that routinely live in tiny numbers on the skin and within the vagina. The vaginal environment is naturally acidic. When its fragile PH balance is upset it becomes less acidic and yeast starts overgrowing, causing vaginal yeast infection. Many things can alter vaginal acidic balance : periods, pregnancy, diabetes, some antibiotics, birth control tablets, steroids, friction, and so on. For example, I got a vaginal yeast infection from swimming pool water which contained too much chloride.
Vaginal or genital herpes is due to a pathogen that’s generally transmitted from skin to skin contact during sex. The virus may remain sleeping for a while and causes an infection when triggered. Vaginal herpes triggers aren’t as easily identified as for vaginal yeast diseases, but they typically are linked with periods or menstruation, long term stress and anything that could weaken your immunological system.
Vaginal yeast and vaginal herpes can both cause discharging from the vaginal region, burning, itching, irritation, redness, bladder infection like symptoms, swelling and blisters. So how do we sort them out?
Here are a few pointers :
Vaginal herpes itching and burning is generally restricted to one or two specific locations whereas vaginal yeast may cause itching everywhere in the vagina and the vulva.
Vaginal herpes may lead to a pile somewhere in the vulva or vagina although not cause general swelling of the vulva except maybe in very severe first herpes episodes.
Discharging from the vagina associated with vaginal yeast is generally unscented and white or watery while when linked with herpes it can be thick, stinky and yellow.
Symptoms alter greatly from girl to girl. Blisters aren’t very common for vaginal yeast while they are part of the normal signs of genital herpes. Genital herpes blisters typically turn into sores, then crust over and into good skin within a few days. Blisters and crusts aren’t typically linked with candida albicans contagions. In a herpes infection, flu like symptoms may appear twenty-four to 48 hours before any inflamation is understood, particularly in the first episode. This isn’t the case with vaginal yeast infections.
If you’ve got any doubts and blisters start forming, you may want to visit your physician straight away to have a swab test performed. Swab tests are performed locally to detect the presence of herpes in a blister. The earlier you take the test, the better because result precision is perfect when samples are got before any sores have appeared.
I am hoping this article will help you better understand the differences between vaginal yeast and vaginal herpes. It is advocated for both conditions to use cotton underclothes and loose clothing and avoid friction.Vaginal Yeast or Vaginal Herpes?
